Number 137

Number 137

I’ve never really had a favorite number.  Instagram, however, made me go on the search for one.  If you didn’t snag your name as your account name when instagram first became popular, you either have to come up with a really catchy one or add some numbers to it.  Since my creative juices wouldn’t flow with a catchy name that included my name, I decided to add some numbers.

I went to my go to source…google.  I googled magic numbers and there it was.  Number 137. It was considered a magic number in Physics.  In addition, it had meanings in the Kabbalah, Numerology, and Angel Numbers.  All of these meanings were consistent with my message and what I was passionate about teaching – searching for a more expansive understanding and experience of our reality and using tools grounded in both physical and spiritual realms.

Here’s what I found…Since the early 1900s, physicists have postulated that the number 137 could lie at the heart of a grand unified theory, relating theories of electromagnetism, quantum mechanics, and gravity.  137 represents one of the key physical constants of the universe. It has been said to determine how stars burn, how chemistry happens, and whether atoms exist.

While I didn’t totally understand what that all meant, I was sure it was a pretty important number. And it matched my journey to find answers to things we don’t understand.   I continued my search.

I found out that the number 137 is considered a mystical number because it is at the root of the universe.  Symbolically, the number 137 is the threshold between the physical dimension and the spiritual dimension. In other words, at the boundary line of the physical world, the number 137 emerges.

What? No wonder I was drawn to this number.

I continued my research.  Nobel Prize winner in physics, Richard Feynman, described 137 as a fine structure constant and said it’s been a mystery ever since it was discovered more than fifty years ago.  He said that all good theoretical physicists put this number on their wall and worry about it, trying to figure out where it comes from.

But when I read this, I knew number 137 was my number.  Richard Feynman said that “It’s one of the greatest damn mysteries of physics that comes to us with no understanding by man.  You might say the ‘hand of God’ wrote that number and ‘we don’t know how he pushed his pencil.’ We know what kind of dance to do experimentally to measure the number very accurately, but we don’t know what kind of dance to do on the computer to make this number come out, without putting it in secretly!”

I looked at other interpretations of the number 137. In the Kabbalah, 137 is an extraordinary link between mysticism and physics.

In numerology, it carries the energy of cooperation and coexistence, independence, creative expression as a group, and introspective, inner wisdom.

The angel number interpretation of number 137 is a combination of the attributes and energies of number 1, the vibrations of number 3 and the influences of number 7.

  • Number 1 brings with it the vibrations of self-expression (initiative, instinct and intuition), of self-leadership and assertiveness, new beginnings and a fresh approach, motivation, striving forward and progress.  It reminds us that we create our own realities by our own thoughts, beliefs and actions.
  • Number 3 represents inspiration, optimism, encouragement, hope, and faith.  It resonates with the energies of the Ascended Masters and their ability to help when asked.  They will help you to focus on the Divine spark within yourself and others, and assist with manifesting your desires.
  • Number 7 vibrates with the mystical influences of spiritual awakening development and enlightenment, inner-knowing and understanding others, peace, dignity and refinement, persistence of purpose and good fortune.

It felt like my search to find a number for my instagram account name was divinely guided.  I checked in to see whether that was a higher truth, and it sure felt that way. I was certain that my new instagram account name was going to carry just the right energy I wanted it to and it was super easy for me to add 137 after my name.
